In Japanese, Ten-Ya means to hit target.  Gil Ro, owner of this Japanese Cuisine and sushi restaurant, definitely hit a bulls-eye when he opened up in Pinehurst three years ago.  Diners will be delighted by the light-filled minimalist decor and wowed by the stunning visual presentation of meals.  The signature dish is Lobster Teriyaki - two pieces of 5 oz tail meat, lightly fired.  Favorite Hibachi selections include filet mignon, lobster and flounder.  On the roll menu, Red Dragon is very popular.  Ro has created a Sushi Set for Beginners, consisting of Ten-Ya rolls (shrimp and crab), California Roll, and Sushi of Smoked Salmon, Shrimp and Crab Stick.  The wine selection is very deep for a Japanese restaurant - 50 varieties, and 20 by the glass.  Premium, chilled, artisanal sakes are available to compliment your dinner. - Pinehurst Magazine, 2007
